By downloading, installing, or using Keep Alive ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Keep Alive is an Android application designed to monitor specified applications and attempt to restart them if they stop running. The App requires various Android permissions to function properly.
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Understanding the App's functionality and limitations before use
- Granting only necessary permissions
- Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Monitoring battery consumption and device performance
- Not using the App on your primary device if battery drain is a concern
4. Limitations and Disclaimers
IMPORTANT: The App attempts to restart applications but cannot guarantee success due to Android's security restrictions and device-specific limitations. Factors that may prevent the App from functioning as expected include:
- Android system security measures
- Device manufacturer restrictions
- Battery optimization settings
- Device lock state
- System resource constraints
5. Battery Consumption
The App is designed to run continuously in the foreground and will consume significant battery power. You acknowledge that:
- The App is NOT optimized for battery efficiency
- Continuous use will result in high battery drain
- The App is recommended for use on secondary devices connected to power
6. No Warranty
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that the App will:
- Function without interruption or error
- Successfully restart monitored applications
- Be compatible with all devices or Android versions
- Meet your specific requirements
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Liquid Labs Inc. be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, including but not limited to:
- Battery drain or device damage
- Loss of data
- Application failures
- Any indirect or consequential damages
8. Open Source
The App is open source software. The source code is available at github.com/hossain-khan/android-keep-alive. Use of the source code is subject to the license terms in the repository.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
