Privacy Policy for CodeMateX
Last updated: August 2026
Welcome to CodeMateX ("the App"), developed by Liquid Labs Inc. Your privacy is our highest priority. This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding information collection, usage, and disclosure when you use CodeMateX on Android.
1. Zero Cloud Data Collection
CodeMateX is built from the ground up as a 100% on-device AI application:
- Your Code and Prompts: Any source code, questions, prompts, and chat sessions you submit are processed entirely on your physical device hardware using local on-device runtimes (such as Google LiteRT-LM).
- No Cloud Inference: Your queries and code snippets are never transmitted to external servers, cloud AI APIs, or third-party inference backends.
- No Account Required: The App does not require registration, login, email addresses, or usernames.
2. Local Device Storage
All chat history, topic configurations, and downloaded on-device model weights are stored locally in the App's sandboxed private storage (Room Database and local device filesystem).
- You have full control to inspect, export, or permanently delete individual chat sessions or all saved data at any time from within the App.
- Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data from your device.
3. Network Usage
The App requests standard network permissions (INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) exclusively for the following optional feature:
- Downloading public, open-source on-device AI model weights (such as Gemma) directly from verified model repositories when explicitly requested by the user in the Model Manager.
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics trackers, advertising SDKs, or remote diagnostic telemetry.
4. Third-Party Services & Links
The App does not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data. If the App provides links to external documentation or source code repositories, visiting those third-party sites is governed by their respective privacy policies.
5. Children's Privacy
The App does not collect any personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13. All data remains strictly on the user's personal device.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date on this page.
